Robinson's up-to-date results
As a Senior (2016-17)
Robinson competed in one meet during her senior season, helping the 4x400 meter relay team to a first place finish at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational (4:18.99).
As a Junior (2015-16)
Robinson proved to be very successful and versatile for the Big Red during her junior season and earned an eighth place finish in the pentathlon at the Ivy League Indoor Track and Field Championships in just her second time competing in the multi-event pentathlon (3,523). Indoors, she also took seventh in the 60 meter hurdles event. Outdoors, she took first place in the 100 meter hurdles at the Outdoor Upstate Challenge.
As a Sophomore (2014-15)
Robinson competed primarily in the hurdles her sophomore year, picking up indoor third-place finishes in the 60 hurdles at the Kane Invitational (9.07) and the Deneault Memorial (8.99). Outdoors, she ran a personal best in the 100 hurdles at the Upstate Challenge, finishing fifth in 14.38. She placed ninth in the 100 hurdles at Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonals with a time of 14.65 and 21
st at outdoor ECAC Championships in 14.47.
As a Freshman (2013-14)
Robinson competed at three meets during her debut season. She focused primarily on the 100 hurdles, marking a personal best 15.08 to finish 5
th at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational.
At Shawnee HS
Robinson lettered four times at Shawnee high school, serving as team captain as a senior. That same season, she was named all-state, academic all-state and was selected to the state all-tournament team. Robinson was named MVP all-conference in 2010 and 2013 and was selected first-team all-conference in 2011. During her four seasons, she was selected to seven all-tournament teams. Robinson also lettered four times in track, where she was a stat champion in the 100-meter hurdles, the 300-meter hurdles and the 4x400-meter relay. She played club volleyball for the Oklahoma Charge and Oklahoma Peak Performance, helping her teams to a combined record of 51-3. Robinson helped her team to the Show Me National Qualifier championship in 2012 as well as a spot in the Girls’ Junior National Championship game that same season.
Volleyball
Sophomore (2014): Robinson saw a significant jump in playing time during her sophomore season, seeing action in 20 matches with 16 starts. She played in 60 sets overall and averaged 1.27 kills per set. Robinson posted a .154 hitting percentage and continually improved defensively, finishing the season with 39 total blocks, with 28 coming during Ivy League play. She had her best offensive outing in the final match of the season, posting a career-high 10 kills and just two errors on 17 attempts (.471) vs. Harvard on Nov. 15. Â
Freshman (2013): Robinson saw action in nine matches during her freshman season, playing in 18 sets. She finished the year with 22 digs (1.22 per set) and tallied two kills and four assists. Robinson had her best outing of the year vs. Columbia on Sept. 28, playing in four sets and finishing with a career-high eight digs to go along with two kills on two attempts and one assist. She also played all five sets vs. Pittsburgh and tallied five digs.
Personal
Jasmine Renee Robinson is the daughter of Tyrone and Wanda Robinson and she has one older brother. A member of an extremely athletic family, Robinson has five cousins who have played or are currently on the roster of a collegiate team – Morgan Robinson (women’s basketball at Florida Atlantic), Andre Robinson (football at Tulane), Trinity Robinson (women’s basketball at Prairie View A&M), Loren Robinson (football at Central Florida) and Mark Robinson, Jr. (football at East Carolina). She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
