All-Ivy League first team (2019)


As a junior (2019)

• Unanimous selection as lone relief pitcher on All-Ivy League first team.
• Emerged as one of the Ivy League's premier relievers, leading the team in appearances with 19 — all but one of which came in relief.
• Despite working almost exclusively out of the bullpen, led the team in victories with a 5-2 record.
• Posted a team-best ERA of 1.72, which was an even more dominant 0.77 when only factoring in relief appearances. 
• Recorded fourth-most saves in a single season in program history with seven.
• Five saves in Ivy League games led the conference. 
• Led team with strikeouts (46) despite only pitching 36.1 innings for average of 11.47 strikeouts per nine innings.
• Yielded opposing batting average of just .178 and surrendered just three extra-base hits (all doubles).
• Allowed just two of 18 inherited runners to score.
• Appeared in 12 of team's 14 victories.
 

As a sophomore (2018)

• Worked 1.2 scoreless innings with one strikeout Feb. 23 at Texas A&M before being removed due to injury and missing remainder of season.
 

As a freshman (2017)

• Posted a 6.00 ERA in 11 relief appearances, which was second-most of freshman pitchers on the team.
• Earned first collegiate save in first outing, recording final four outs in an 8-5 win over defending Patriot League champion Navy on March 5.
• Three of five strikeouts came in April 5 win at Towson.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Helped Fairfield Warde HS win a league championship during sophomore season.
• Named junior all-star and member of the league's all-Central Division team in 2015.
• As a senior captain, was first-team all-league selection, MSG Varsity All-CT First Team honoree, and Hearst CT Media All-Star.
• Earned 2016 Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason All-Northeast Region honorable mention.
• Ranked 11th in recruiting class for right-handed pitchers in Connecticut.
• Two-time member of the National Honor Society.
 

Personal

• John Pascal Natoli is the son of John and Pia Natoli, and he has two sisters.
• Twin sister, Gabriella, plays for the the softball team at Swarthmore, and has cousins that play lacrosse — Chris Adamo at Lafayette and Alyssa Adamo at Columbia.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
