At Cornell
Sophomore (2012): Reinke will serve as one of the team’s tri-captains during the 2012 season.
Freshman (2011): Reinke split time with senior setter Jordan Reeder during her rookie campaign. She played in 25 matches, including all 14 Ivy League contests, and averaged 4.29 assists per set. Reinke was also very solid defensively, racking up 2.03 digs per set. She registered double-digit assists in 18 of the matches she played in, including a career-high 35 assists in a 3-2 victory over Harvard on Nov. 5.
Prior to Cornell
Reinke was a two-year letter winner at Wheaton St. Francis, where she was named all-conference first team, local all-area, and honorable mention all-area as a senior. As a junior and again as a senior, she helped her team to the regional title and to the sectional finals. Reinke was also team captain during her senior year. She played her club volleyball with Sports Performance from 2006-2010, helping the team to the Pre-national championship in 2010, as well as a third place finish at AAU’s in 2009. In 2011, she played for the Sky High club, qualifying for Nationals in Atlanta in the National Division. Reinke was also a four-year starter as a guard on her high school’s basketball team, earning first team all-conference, local all-area, and county honorable mention accolades, while serving as team captain her junior and senior years.
Personal
Kelly Anne Reinke is the daughter of Mark William and Anne Therese Reinke and has an older brother, a younger brother, and a younger sister. Her cousin Michael Piatkowski is a quarterback for the Drake University football team and her cousin Mark Golden was a member of the swim team at Ball State University from 2007-2011. Reinke is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
