Biography

As a junior (2017)
• Played in 14 matches as a junior, including 10 appearances in Ivy League contests.
• Finished the year with 14 digs and four assists.

As a sophomore (2016)
• Danenhauer saw action in 12 matches as a sophomore, including 10 Ivy League contests.
• Averaged 1.56 digs per set and posted a season-high 10 digs at Binghamton.
• Finished the season with 20 assists and posted 21 service aces.
• Her 21 service aces were good for third on the team.

As a freshman (2015)
• Danenhauer had an outstanding rookie campaign as the team’s primary defensive specialist, playing in 21 matches with five starts.
• Finished the year ranked second on the team with 2.93 digs per set, a mark that jumped to 3.48 in Ivy League action.
• Posted double-digit digs in 10 matches, including eight straight matches in conference play.
• Tallied a season-high 28 digs vs. Yale on Oct. 30.
• Led the Ivy League and ranked 28th in the nation with 0.42 aces per game, a mark that ranked 14th overall in Cornell history for aces per game.
 
Prior to Cornell
• Danenhauer was a three year starter at St. Ursula Academy where she broke the school record for career aces and career digs.
• Helped her team to consecutive district championships in 2013 and 2014 and was awarded the team’s Bulldog Award as a senior, which honors the teammate who exemplifies leadership and camaraderie. 
• Named honorable mention all-state and second-team all-district in 2014, while picking up a highest honorable mention Prep Volleyball Academic All-American accolade.
• Was a two-time second-team all-league selection and was named to the district Senior All-Star team in 2014.
• As a member of NKYVC, Danenhauer served as team captain in 2013 and 2014 and helped the squad qualify for Junior Nationals four times.
• Participated in the JVA World Championships in 2013 and was named to the Tri-State Elite in 2015.
 
Personal
• Natalie O. Danenhauer is the daughter of Karen and the late David Danenhauer and she has an older brother and an older sister.
• Her uncle, Michael Odioso, and her cousin, Matthew Vogele, played football for Michigan (1981-83) and Miami (2002-06), respectively.
• She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
