At Cornell
Sophomore (2012): Hunt did not play during her sophomore season.
Freshman (2011): Hunt saw action in 16 matches during her rookie campaign, getting the start against American in the Cornell Invitational. She posted a career-high six kills and three blocks against the Eagles. Hunt finished the season with 20 kills and 10 blocks.
Prior to Cornell
Hunt was a three-time letter winner at Prospect HS, where she was named as Player of the Year in the Mid-Suburban League East during her senior year. She was named all-conference and all-area in both her junior and senior years, captaining the team as a senior. She holds school records for most career kills, highest season hitting efficiency, and most blocks in a game. Hunt was also an Illinois All-Star Game selection and a PrepVolleyball.com Academic All-American. She played her club volleyball with Sky High, where she helped her team to the 2009 AAU National Championship title. She was also a three-time letter winner as a forward for her high school basketball team, where she was named all-conference as a junior and senior, and all-area as a senior.
Personal
Sarah Margaret Hunt is the daughter of Jeffrey and Margaret Hunt and has a younger sister, as well as an older sister, Rachel, who plays basketball and volleyball at MIT. Hunt is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
