2023 | SENIOR SEASON
Named one of Glamour Magazine’s 2023 College Women of the Year … Started in 22 of 23 matches played, appearing in 82 sets. Led the team in blocks with 100, becoming the first Big Red athlete since Jada Stackhouse in 2013 to reach that mark in a season … ranked third in the Ivy League in blocks and blocks per set with a 1.22 … posted career-high nine blocks in a four-set match against West Virginia (9/8).
2022 l JUNIOR SEASON
One of five women chosen for the 2022 Billie Jean King Youth Leadership Award, where she was honored at the ESPYs in July 2022 ... started in 17 of 19 matches played, appearing in 65 sets ... lead the team in blocks with 64 ... ranked ninth in the Ivy League in blocks ... logged 148.5 points across the season, averaging 2.28 points per games ... posted a career-high 15 kills in a five-set matchup at Penn (10/8).
2021 l SOPHOMORE SEASON
Played in 15 matches, recording 56 kills on .233 hitting while ranking second in blocks with 48 (1.04 blocks per set) ... credited with four kills and five blocks in her collegiate debut, a win over St. John's ... posted six kills in eight swings in a victory over Colgate ... notched seven kills on .545 hitting with three blocks vs. UNLV ... had a career-best eight kills along with six blocks against Dartmouth ... also notched six blocks at Columbia and Penn.
2020 l FRESHMAN SEASON
Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
PRIOR TO CORNELL
Four-year letterman in volleyball in high school, playing for the Immaculate Heart Academy (N.J.) before transferring to Cathedral Catholic HS in San Diego ... helped Immaculate Heart Academy to back-to-back New Jersey State Championships in 2016 and 2017 ... guided Cathedral Catholic HS to a No. 1 national team ranking in October and November of 2019 ... played on the club circuit for Coast Volleyball Club, helping her team to a bronze medal at the USA Volleyball Nationals in 2019 ... also played one year of basketball at Immaculate Heart, guiding her team to the New Jersey State Finals in 2016.

Sydney Elaine LaVonne Moore is the daughter of Joseph Moore and Christina Braden-Moore ... her mother, Christina, played collegiate basketball at Northwestern, as well as professionally in Europe, South America, and the United States ... President of Women of Color Association... she is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
