At Cornell
Bostain earned his second letter while serving as the team's starter at tight end and caught 10 passes for 77 yards as a junior in 2012. Bostain played all 10 games with five starts and emerged as a pass-catching threat as the season went on. After going without a reception in the team's first four games, he had 10 catches in the final six contests, including posting three receptions for 30 yards in the win over Princeton. Bostain lettered as a sophomore while primarily playing on special teams. He saw action in nine contests, even returning a short kickoff return 12 yards at Yale. Bostain spent his freshman season adjusting to the college game and gaining weight and strength.

At Council Rock North
Bostain was a two-time first-team all-league selection as a wide receiver at Council Rock North HS. As a senior, Bostain caught 42 passes for 661 yards (15.7 ypc.) and five touchdowns and was recognized as a third-team All-Southeastern Pennsylvania pick by the Philadelphia Inquirer. Bostain played defensive end in high school and served as the team’s long snapper. The Bucks County Times Courier named him to the First Golden Team in 2008. He was also a three-year letter winner on the varsity basketball team.

Personal
Eric Tyler Bostain is the son of Wayne Bostain and Nancy Moore and has an older brother and two older sisters. His grandfather played professional baseball for the Philadelphia and Kansas City Athletics in the 1950s. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
