Senior Ryan Wittman was named the Mid-Major Player of the Week by college basketball writer Jeff Goodman on FoxSports.com for his 23-point effort in the win over the Crimson Tide, while the Big Red earned Top 25 votes in the ESPN/USA Today Coach's Poll for the second straight week, and also picked up a mention for the this year in the Associated Press poll.
The Big Red will be back in action on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. when it faces UMass in the first game of the 2009 Legends Classic at the Mullins Center in Amherst, Mass.
