Miller Repeats As Ivy Co-Rookie of the Week In Men's Hoops

ITHACA, N.Y. -- For the second consecutive week to open the season, Big Red freshman forward Shonn Miller has been named the Ivy League co-Rookie of the Week in men's basketball it was announced by the conference office. Miller helped Cornell to a 2-1 record with his efforts off the bench.

Miller averaged 12.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.0 blocks and 0.7 steals in just 23.3 minutes per game. He shot 46 percent from the floor and 71 percent from the free-throw line. He reached double figures in two of the three contests. He shares the award with Dartmouth's Gabas Maldunas.

The freshman opened the week with career highs of 19 points and eight rebounds to go along with a block and a steal in a win over Binghamton. After scoring eight points and grabbing two rebounds against a talented Buffalo frontcourt, he scored 10 points, grabbed six rebounds and blocked two shots to help Cornell knock off regining America East champion and preseason favorite Boston University.

Miller and the Big Red return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 22 when they face Delaware at 7 p.m.
