Miller Captures Third Straight Ivy Rookie of the Week Nod

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell freshman forward Shonn Miller was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the third straight week to begin his career, again sharing the award after two strong efforts for the Big Red men's basketball team.

Miller, who leads Cornell is rebounding and blocked shots and sits third on the team in scoring, shared the honor with Columbia's Alex Rosenberg. Miller averaged 8.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.5 steals in two games for the Big Red, including earning his first career starts. He had eight points, a career-best 10 rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals against an athletic Delaware frontcourt. He answered that performance with nine points, seven rebounds, a block and a steal against American.

Miller and the Big Red close out the first semester when they play host to Lehigh on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. at Newman Arena in Bartels Hall.
