ITHACA, N.Y. – Senior offensive lineman JC Tretter capped a memorable week by being named a second-team All-American by the Associated Press and a third team All-American by The Sports Network, his second and third All-America selections in a week. He also earned an invitation to the Senior Bowl All-Star Game in the last week in addition to being named third-team All-American by Beyond Sports College Network.

Tretter was responsible for protecting record-breaking quarterback Jeff Mathews' blind side at left tackle and allowed the Big Red to set new Cornell and Ivy passing records in his two seasons there. A preseason honorable mention FCS All-American by Beyond Sports College Network, he was part of a line that allowed the passing game to pile up 3,748 yards, a mark that ranked third in the FCS in 2012. He started each of his final 20 games at left tackle and is the first offensive lineman to earn first-team honors since Kevin Boothe in 2005.

In addition to Tretter, other Ivy Leaguers named to The Sports Network's All-America team included second-teamers Kyle Juszczyk of Harvard at tight end, Tyler Varga of Yale (all-purpose) and Caraun Reid of Princeton (defensive tackle) and fellow third-teamer Mike Catapano of Harvard (defensive end).

The Associated Press list includes first-team tight end Kyle Juszczyk of Harvard, second team defensive lineman Mike Catapano of Princeton and third team picks Tyler Varga of Yale (all-purpose) and Caraun Reid (defensive line).
