Cissie Leary Invitational, final brackets

PHILADELPHIA — The women's tennis team completed play Sunday at the Cissie Leary Invitational with sophomore Lauren Frazier advancing to the finals of Flight B Singles. Frazier started the day with a semifinal victory over Penn's Alex Ion, 6-4, 6-2. She then clashed with Yale's Courtney Amos in the finals, but fell by a score of 6-0, 6-2.

Amos feached the final by way of a victory against another Cornell opponent, freshman Laila Judeh. Already having played two three-set matches in the tournament, Judeh forced another third set against Amos before being elminated, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4.

The rest of the Big Red was idle Sunday, with three members being eliminated after reaching the Round of 16 in Flight A Singles. Cornell will be idle next weekend before returning to action at the USTA Collegiate Invitational from Oct. 6-8 in New York.
