ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell men's basketball team will welcome six newcomers in head coach
Brian Earl's first recruiting class. Five incoming student-athletes will make up the Class of 2021, while one junior college transfer will have two seasons of eligibility and join six new teammates in the Class of 2019.
Jimmy Boeheim '21
6-8 • 215 • Fayetteville, N.Y. (Jamesville Dewitt HS / New Hampton School)
Boeheim was an all-Central New York selection as a senior at Jamesville Dewitt HS before playing a prep season at the New Hampton School. He averaged 22.3 points as a senior, making the sectional all-tournament team in each of his final two seasons. He was named MVP at the Hoop Hall Classic and Peppino's Classic as a senior while serving as team captain. Boeheim averaged 8.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while shooting 42percent overall and 32 percent from the 3-point arc in his final season at New Hampton School.
Steven Julian '19
6-6 • 200• Louisville, Ky. (Male HS / Kaskaskia College)
Julian was an all-region selection as a sophomore at Kaskaskia College, earning the college's Male Athlete of the Year award. He averaged 10.5 points per game, 8.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.1 blocks and 1.6 steals per game as a sophomore, finishing the season shooting 51 percent from the floor. The two-year captain tallied nine double-doubles on the season. He averaged 8.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals while shooting 53 percent from the floor as a freshman with four double-doubles. He was given the Exemplary Award for Academic Excellence from Kaskaskia as a freshman. Julian was a two-time all-district pick at Louisville Male HS, serving as captain his senior year.
Bryan Knapp '21

Knapp graduated as the leading scorer in school history, posting 1,855 career points in his four-year varsity career at Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School. He was named to the All-Met first team by the
Washington Post after averaging 27.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game as a senior. That came on the heels of averaging 21.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists as a junior, the first of two consecutive years earning league MVP honors. Knapp has twice been named to the Maccabi USA Youth basketball team and will play in July in Israel. He was named 2014 Underclassman of the Year by Jewish Hoops America.
Jake Kuhn '21
6-6 • 195 • Bethesda, Md. (St. Maria Goretti HS)
Kuhn was a first-team all-county and second-team all-league selection as a senior at St. Maria Goretti HS. He helped guide the team to the Baltimore Catholic League regular season title as a senior. Kuhn was invited to play in the Triple Threat Classic, taking part in the 3-point contest as well as the senior all-star game. He averaged 10.0 points and 8.0 rebounds as a junior. Kuhn also played football.
Terrance McBride '21
6-2 • 170 • Lynwood, Calif. (Sierra Canyon HS)
McBride was a two-time all-league selection at Sierra Canyon HS. He earned a spot on the all-tournament team at the school's home tournament as a senior. The four-year letter winner averaged 8.8 points, 2.9 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 52 percent overall and 44 percent from 3-point range as a senior for a team that was ranked No. 1 in the country during the year. He averaged 8.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists as a junior and 7.7 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game as a sophomore. The four-year varsity player helped Sierra Canyon to a 108-16 combined record and totals of 876 points, 298 rebounds, 244 assists and 141 steals while playing with the No. 1 ranked junior and Arizona State and UCLA commits in his class.
Riley Voss '21
6-6 • 220 • Milford, Ohio (Moeller HS)
Voss was a second-team all-state selection as a senior after helping Moeller HS to three league championships and a state runner-up finish as a senior captain. He was named league Player of the Year after averaging 7.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists while ranking second in the league in assists (84) and third in blocks (14) en route to all-region honors in his final season. He also shot 56 percent from the floor. The three-year starter averaged 6.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game as a junior. He was named all-league in each of his final three years, including capturing first-team accolades as a junior and senior. Voss earned an invitation to play in the Ohio vs. Kentucky Senior All-Star Game. He ended his three-year varsity career with 562 points, 445 rebounds and 212 assists while shooting .571 from the floor and five double-doubles. His rebounding total ranks in the top 10 in conference history, and his assists are in the top 15.
