Biography
In 2012-13 (senior)
Figini averaged 3.6 points and 1.6 rebounds while playing all 31 contests with eight starts. He also compiled 15 steals and 11 blocks during the year while also hitting 16 3-pointers. Figini shot 42 percent from the floor, 34 percent from 3-point range and 85 percent from the free-throw line during his senior campaign. In games he played 15 minutes or more, Figini averaged 9.0 ppg., 2.8 rpg., 0.9 spg. and 0.9 bpg. while shooting 52 percent from the floor and 44 percent from 3-point range. He scored 13 points with three rebounds at Princeton and notched 12 points, four rebounds a block and a steal in the win at Columbia. His best game came against Patriot League champion Bucknell and league Player of the Year Mike Muscala, scoring a career-high 15 points to go along with four rebounds and two steals. Figini recorded 12 points, two rebounds and two blocked shots at Arizona State as one of four double figure scoring games.
In 2011-12 (junior)
Figini averaged 4.3 points and 2.1 rebounds per game while playing in 26 contests with five starts. He also made 11-of-21 shots from 3-point range, good for 52 percent. He scored in double figures five times, including matching a career high of 14 points three times during the span of four games. He had 14 points and five rebounds against American, 11 points and seven boards in the win over Patriot League champion Lehigh, then scored 14 points against both Albany and Illinois. Figini matched or surpassed career totals entering the season in points, blocks, steals, field goals made, 3-point field goals made and free-throws made.
In 2010-11 (sophomore)
Figini averaged 3.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in 8.5 minutes per game in 22 contests, including 10 starts. He scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds off the bench at Seton Hall in his first varsity action of the season. Figini also had a blocked shot while hitting 4-of-8 shots in 13 minutes against the Pirates. He matched his season high with eight points, including his first two career 3-pointers, in a loss at Lehigh. Figini scored seven points in a loss at Boston University and ripped down a career-high six rebounds in front of his hometown fans at No. 13 Minnesota. He earned his first career start in a win over Southern Conference champ Wofford. Figini spurred a comeback win against Brown with a career-best nine points and seven rebounds in nine minutes of action, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with less than four minutes to play. He posted six points and three rebounds in the season finale against Yale.
In 2009-10 (freshman)
Figini averaged 0.7 points and 0.8 rebounds in 10 games off the bench for the Big Red. In 28 minutes on the year, Figini posted seven points and eight rebounds. He saw his first collegiate action with a two-minute first half stint against La Salle, hitting a pair of free throws. Figini had five points, a rebound and a blocked shot vs. Clarkson and notched two rebounds in four minutes against Penn State Behrend.
At Chisago Lakes HS
Figini averaged 24.7 points, 13.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game en route to third-team all-state honors by the St. Paul Press as a senior at Chisago Lakes HS. One of 15 finalists for the state’s Mr. Basketball award, he was ranked among the state’s top 25 players by MinnesotaPreps.com as a senior. A nominee for McDonald’s High School All-America honors, Figini was an academic all-state pick by the Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association and was invited to compete in the Minnesota All-Star Series. As a junior, Figini averaged 23 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots per game while hitting 55 percent from the field, 42 percent from 3-point range and 76 percent from the charity stripe. A three-time all-conference selection, Figini was a second-team all-state pick as a junior by the Minnesota Basketball News. He was named Player of the Week once as a junior by the Minneapolis Tribune and twice by the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Joshua Andrew Figini is the son of Stephen and Sally Figini and has a younger brother. Figini is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
