In 2012-13 (senior)
Gray averaged 10.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 25 starts for the Big Red. Gray posted a season-high 24 points with seven rebounds in the win over Old Westbury and matched a career-high with six 3-pointers. He scored 18 points with a season-high six rebounds in a win at Binghamton and 19 points and five rebounds in the win at American, then notched 21 points with five rebounds, two blocks and two steals in the win over Saint Francis (Pa.). Gray notched 16 points and four rebounds in the win over Presbyterian. After opening the year 2-of-20 from 3-point range in the first five games, Gray then went 12-of-19 over the next four games (.632). After a 1-of-19 stretch (.053), he made 35-of-77 (.455) to close his career. gray averaged 18.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in a weekend road sweep of Yale and Brown as part of an Ivy season in which he averaged 10.6 points.
In 2011-12 (junior)
Gray earned honorable mention All-Ivy League honors after ranking sixth in the Ivy League in scoring in league games (12.3 ppg.) while posting 8.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.8 steals per game overall. Gray started 17 of the team's 28 games. He hit for double figures 12 times with two 20-point games, including a career-high 29 points in a win over Yale. He also scored 20 points in a victory over Dartmouth. He recorded 18 points against Patriot League regular season champion Bucknell and had 14 points against Ivy champion Harvard.
In 2010-11 (sophomore)
Gray was a revelation as a sophomore, contributing averages of 4.7 points and 2.3 rebounds while playing 13.4 minutes per game. He shot 33 percent from 3-point range on the year, serving primarily as a reserve point guard in 26 contests while also making two starts. Gray made a splash in the season opener against Albany, scoring 12 points and hitting four 3-pointers in a career-high 19 minutes after going scoreless his entire freshman season. Against Seton Hall, Gray scored six points and ripped down four rebounds to go along with an assist in 19 minutes off the bench. He filled the stat sheet with nine points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals at Dartmouth. Gray was in double figures at both Yale and Brown, hitting for a career-high 13 points and dishing off four assists in the win over the Bears. Gray scored nine points against both Penn and Princeton, averaging 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the two home games. Gray posted his first career double-double with 10 points and a career-best 11 rebounds to go along with two assists, a blocked shot and a steal in the win over Dartmouth.
In 2009-10 (freshman)
A former student manager, Gray joined the team in December and saw his first varsity action with four minutes against Clarkson and two more vs. Columbia with a rebound against the Lions. He played in four games total.
At Berkeley Preparatory School
Gray was was named second-team all-state and was district Player of the Year as a senior at Berkeley Preparatory School. He directed the team to a district title as a senior captain, averaging 18.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game while making 63 3-pointers. As a junior, Gray posted 16.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game as a junior and 11.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
