At the Helm
Deitre Collins-Parker, the Wendy Schaenen '79 Head Coach of Volleyball, returns for her fifth season with the Big Red. Collins-Parker has a 66-48 overall record with Cornell and has led the Big Red to three Ivy League titles and two NCAA tournament appearances.

Both of Cornell's matches this weekend will be available by live stats, and live video will also be available as part of Cornell REDCast. All of the Big Red's home matches against Ivy League opponents will be video streamed live this season.

Scouting the Quakers
Penn opened its Ivy season last weekend, losing a 3-0 match to Princeton at the Palestra. The Quakers have lost their last four matches in contests against the Tigers, Seattle, San Francisco and Saint Mary's (Calif.). Penn is led by Julia Swanson who averages 3.24 kills per set, while Kathryn Turner is hitting .272 with 2.19 kills per set. In the back row, Madi Wojchiechowski averages 4.39 digs per set, and Britt Danneman leads Penn at the net with 0.70 blocks per set. Setting up the Quakers' offense is Megan Tryon with 8.59 assists per set.

Taking on the Tigers
Princeton will play at Columbia on Friday night before heading to East Hill on Saturday. The Tigers have won their last three matches and bring a 7-2 record into the weekend. Lindsey Ensign leads the league with a .403 hitting percentage and averages 3.03 kills per set. She also tops the Tigers in blocks with 0.61 per set. Parker Henritze is second with 2.97 kills per set for Princeton. Bailey Robinson holds the top Ivy rank in assists with 10.94 per set. Hilary Ford leads her team in digs per set with 3.89.

Nationally Speaking
After last weekend, Megan Mushovic ranks, sixth in the nation with 5.70 digs per set this season. The Big Red as a team ranks in the top 50 averaging 15.79 digs per set. Northern Arizona's Brittany Stowers holds the top spot with 6.34 digs per set. Freshman middle blocker Kelly Hansen ranks 44th in the country with 1.20 blocks per set.

Freshman middle blocker Kelly Hansen leads the Ivy League with an average of 1.20 blocks per set, while libero Megan Mushovic holds the top spot in digs per set with 5.70. Senior Emily Borman ranks fourth with a .326 hitting percentage. Senior captain Hilary Holland holds the fifth spot with 9.28 assists per set.

Oh What a Career…
Entering the match vs. Penn, junior libero Megan Mushovic has 1,308 digs for her Big Red career. Mushovic currently ranks third in the career record books, and only needs 48 more to tie Kelly Kramer's 1,356 at the top of the list. Mushovic's 6.16 digs per set last season ranked her eighth in the nation. In her sophomore season, she also led the country in digs in a match with 50 against Harvard on Oct. 12, 2007.

Fresh Faces
The Big Red added six members to its roster with the class of 2012. The group hails from six different states and includes two outside hitters, two middle blockers, a setter and a defensive specialist.

Ivy Awards
Cornell returns two All-Ivy honorees to its roster this season. Libero Megan Mushovic earned a first-team All-Ivy nod after leading the league with 6.16 digs per set. Mushovic also earned second team honors as a rookie. Middle blocker Emily Borman led the Big Red last season with 1.08 blocks per set, which placed her fourth in the Ancient Eight, earning her second-team honors.

She's Our Captain
Senior Hilary Holland will serve as the Big Red's captain this season. Cornell's veteran setter will look to help the Big Red in all aspects of play. Holland notched a career-high 21 digs in Cornell's 3-2 win over Maine on Sept. 20 at the UConn Toyota Classic.

Looking Ahead…
The Big Red will play at Colgate in midweek action on Tuesday, Oct. 14, for a 7 p.m. match. Cornell will continue road action Oct. 17-18, traveling to Harvard and Dartmouth.
