Men's Polo Takes Second at the William S. Field Invitational

ITHACA, N.Y.—The Big Red men's polo team lost 27-17 to No. 2 Virginia in the finals of the William S. Field Invitational on Sunday. Cornell moves to 7-2 for the season.

The Big Red started off the match well and led 7-5 after the first chukker. The Cavaliers came back to grab an 11-10 lead going into the half. Cornell struggled with throw-ins in the third and fell behind 19-14. Virginia continued strong play to ride to a 27-17 win.

Cornell will play host to Yale for a 7:30 p.m. match on Dec. 5 at the Oxley Equestrian Center.
