The Raiders came out hard after the delay, and Beth Rotherberg put her team on the board for the first time at 13:16 of the first period. Rotherberg slid the puck through Niesluchowski's legs. Amanda Kirwan assisted on the goal.

Colgate lengthened its lead to two at 9:57 of the third period. Jessi Waters picked the puck up off the stick of a Big Red defender. Waters skated the length of the ice and found Rotenberg who scored on the left side of the net.

Karpenko had a great scoring chance at 5:40 of the third period. She let go a huge slap shot that looked to have bounced off both posts of the Raiders' goal. The referee stopped the game to review the goal and awarded Karpenko her second goal of the game. Karlee Overguard and Laura Danforth assisted on the goal.
