ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's and women's polo teams will return to action at home attempting to remain unbeaten at Oxley Equestrian Center. The women will play Yale on Friday at 7:30 p.m., while the men face the Bulldogs on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Connecticut on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The women are coming off a dominant 31-7 showing against Massachusetts on Oct. 18 at Oxley. Lizzie Wisner had a game-high 17 goals, while Ali Hoffman, Ali Cross and Claire Glashan combined for 12 scores. Cornell enters this weekend's match with a 16-match home win streak. Cornell leads the all-time series against the Bulldogs 77-18 (55-4 since 1989-90), including three wins over the Bulldogs a season ago by a combined score of 69-17.

The men opened two weekends ago with a hard-fought 16-11 victory over the Cowtown Polo Club. Freshman Branden Van Loon notched seven goals in the victory. The defending Eastern Regional champs will have its depth tested with its first weekend of multiple contests. Since the 1978-79 season, Cornell has posted a 73-5-1 record against Yale and a 46-19-1 advantage over Connecticut. The Big Red knocked off Yale all three meetings between the teams a season ago, outscoring the Bulldogs 74-28, and topped UConn in both contests, a 23-12 win in the regular season and a 21-20 victory in the Eastern Regional championship.
