Rowing Earns Two Gold Medals, One Silver Medal at Quadricentennial Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Cornell rowing teams shined today at the Quadricentennial Poughkeepsie Regatta, as the women's varsity-8 and the men's heavyweight varsity-8 earned gold medals, while the lightweight varsity-8 took home the silver. More than 2,000 spectators were in attendance to watch the four-mile race, which began at Roger's Point in Hyde Park, N.Y., and concluded at the Mid-Hudson Bridge.
 
The Big Red rowing teams will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 18, when the crews compete in the Head of the Charles in Boston, Mass.
