ITHACA, N.Y. - After repeatedly rallying from a deficit to claim a road victory over the Huskies three weeks ago, the Cornell men's polo team will have a rematch against the University of Connecticut on Friday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at Oxley Equestrian Center. The Big Red enters the game with a 4-1 record after knocking off Harvard 14-11 last weekend behind freshman
Connor Pardell's team-best seven goals.
Senior
Max Constant scored 12 goals and the Big Red rallied from deficits at the end of each of the first three chukkers to top Connecticut 19-14 on Oct. 25 in Storrs, Conn. A six-goal run in the fourth chukker proved to be the difference. Since the 1978-79 season, Cornell has posted a 47-19-1 advantage over Connecticut and is riding an 11-game win streak over the Huskies dating back to the 2006 campaign. The Big Red topped UConn in both contests, a 23-12 win in the regular season and a 21-20 victory in the Eastern Regional championship.
Through five games, Constant has scored 24 goals, while freshmen
Branden Van Loon (18 goals) and Pardell (17 goals) are also in double figures. Neither Constant nor Van Loon appeared in the win over Harvard.
