Men's Polo Earns Tight 14-11 Triumph At Harvard

ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's polo team earned a hard-fought 14-11 victory at Harvard on Saturday, improving to 4-1 with the triumph. Freshman Connor Pardell had a team-best seven goals in the victory.

The Cornell men, Connor Pardell, David Dunstan, and Dan Grew earned the start. The Big Red opened  well and grabbed a 3-0 lead before the Crimson got on the board. Harvard would fight back to pull within one at 4-3 after the first chukker. The Big Red would spring to life in the second to extend its lead to 10-4 headed into the half. The Big Red got into some foul trouble in the third and allowed the Crimson to close the gap to 12-9 after three, but Cornell regrouped and extended its lead back to five in the fourth before bringing home the win. Besides Pardell, Dunstan and Grew scored three goals apiece and Cornell was awarded a penalty goal.
