CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Cornell men's and women's squash teams both came away with a split of their two matches on Saturday to close out the fall semester's action. Both teams dropped their opener to Harvard before wrapping up the day with a victory against Tufts.

For the men, the Big Red dropped a 6-3 contest to Harvard, garnering wins from Will Hartigan at No. 3, Rishi Jalan at #5 and Amar Gupta at #7. The trio would all be double-winners on the day, scoring a victory against Tufts in an 8-1 win against the Jumbos.

On the women's side, Cornell struggled against the third-ranked Crimson, falling by a 9-0 score, but rallying on the day to claim a sweep against Tufts.

The Big Red is off for the next month, finally returning to action on the weekend of Jan. 15-17, with the men taking on top-ranked Trinity, Yale and Brown. The women, meanwhile, will play four matches that weekend, adding a contest against Mt. Holyoke to the trio of Trinity, Yale and Brown.
