ITHACA, N.Y. -- After having last weekend's home opener postoned, the Cornell men's polo team will finally get into action when it visits Skidmore on Friday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Cornell begins preparations for defense of the program's 17th Eastern Regional title and starts its search for the program's 12th national crown when it battles the Thoroughbreads.

The Big Red went 14-5 a season ago, including 12-2 in its home arena, and won the Eastern Regional crown with victories over Kemptville and Connecticut. After claiming an automatic bid to the USPA national championships, Cornell fell in the national quarterfinals to Texas Tech, 17-15. All three starters, senior Max Constant and sophomores Connor Pardell and Branden Van Loon, return to attempt another run for the national championships.

The men's team brings a 61-8 edge in the all-time series, including a pair of wins by a combined score of 52-17 last year.
