ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell polo teams will attempt to qualify for an appearance national championship tournament when it hosts the Northeast Regional beginning on Thursday, March 11 at the Oxley Equestrian Center. Cornell's men bring an 11-4 record into the tournament, while the women are 13-1.
The women, the defending national runner-up, will face the winner of the Harvard-Massachusetts on Saturday, March 13 at 3:30 p.m. The championship game will be played on Sunday, March 14 at noon. The tournament will begin on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. for the Harvard-UMass games, followed by Skidmore and Kemptville at 9:45 p.m. Joining the Big Red in getting a bye is Connecticut, who will meet the winner of Thursday's second contest.
The men bring their 11-4 record into the four-team tournament that opens on Friday, March 12 at 5:30 p.m. when Connecticut meets Skidmore. The Big Red will play Kemptville that night at 7:30 p.m. with the two winners meeting in Sunday's 10 a.m. championship game.
