PRINCETON, N.J. – The Cornell University men's tennis team defeated Princeton, 5-2, this afternoon at the Lenz Tennis Center in Princeton, N.J. With the victory, the Big Red improves to 17-7 overall and 4-2 in the Ivy League, staying in the hunt for the conference title. Cornell swept all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point and then received singles victories from Jon Jaklitsch, Andy Gauthier, Evan Bernstein and Mirza Klis.

The Big Red will play host to Penn on Sunday, April 18 at the Reis Tennis Center at noon. A Cornell victory over the Quakers, coupled with a Princeton upset of Columbia, will give the Big Red a share of its first conference title since official Ivy League play began in 1956.
