ITHACA, N.Y.—Cornell wrestling's head coach Rob Koll, The David Dunlop '59 Head Coach of Wrestling, has been named InterMat's 2010 Head Coach of the Year it was announced on Tuesday. Koll earns the honor after leading the Big Red to a program-best second-place finish at the 2010 NCAA tournament. The Cornell mentor also coached his fifth wrestler to win an NCAA championship with true-freshman Kyle Dake bringing home the title at 141 pounds. The Big Red's second-place finish is also a best performance of any Ivy League program, and the highest placing of an Eastern school since Penn State won the team title race in 1953.
