MANHATTAN, N.Y. -- Brook Chang found the back of the net twice and the Cornell women's soccer team continued its resurgence with a 2-0 win over Manhattan on Sunday morning at Gaelic Park to even its record at 4-4. Manhattan fell to 2-6-1 with the loss.
Chang scored in the 38th minute, then again in the 85th minute to lift Cornell to its third win during a four-game road swing. The Big Red had won just one game in all of 2009.
The Big Red held a 14-8 edge in shots and earned the shutout with a pair of Kelly Murphy saves behind Chang's goals.
Cornell returns to action on Friday, Oct. 1 when it faces Penn at Berman Field in Ivy League action.
