HANOVER, N.H. -- Freshman Andy Iles stopped 31 of the 33 shots he faced on the night as the Cornell men's hockey team picked up a 2-2 tie at Dartmouth on Friday night in Hanover, N.H. Joe Devin and Sean Collins scored goals for the Big Red on the night.

Nick D'Agostino and Tyler Roeszler each added an assist on the night for Cornell, which improved to 8-9-3 on the year and 6-5-2 in ECAC Hockey action. Dartmouth's goals came by way of Rob Smith and Connor Goggin, with Kyle Reeds picking up the lone assist on the night for the Big Green. James Mello stopped 17 shots in goal for Dartmouth, which is now 11-6-3 overall and 7-4-2 in league play. Both teams finished the night scoreless in two power-play chances.

After a scoreless first period that saw both netminders stop six shots, the Big Green finally got on the board at the 15:09 mark of the period when Smith got his fifth goal of the season. Cornell wasted no time in responding, though, as Collins evened the score 58 seconds later with his fourth tally of the season. Iles was kept busy in the period, stopping 14 of the 15 shots he faced, while Mello faced just eight shots during the frame.

In the third, Cornell took the lead for the first time on the night with Devin's goal, his eighth of the season, but Goggin knotted the score with 8:12 to play. Iles stopped 10 more shots in the third period, then stopped the only shot he faced in the extra session.

Cornell returns to action on Saturday, heading to Cambridge, Mass., for a 7 p.m. contest against Harvard at the Bright Hockey Center.
