ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's polo team won its fifth straight contest, improving to 11-4 on the season with a 19-13 win over Texas A&M on Friday evening at Oxley Equestrian Center. Max Constant scored 12 goals to pace the Big Red's scoring attack.

The Aggies, in a virtual tie for the lead in the Central Region, were also hoping to make a statement  that they are a top contender. A&M came out and scored the first goal, but Cornell answered by scoring the next three and ended the first chukker up 4-2. The second saw Cornell fall into the Aggies type of game a little as the pace became a little frenzied. The Big Red was up to it, as it increased the lead to 9-4 heading into the half. The third started with Cornell increasing its lead to six at 11-5, before the Aggies surged to close it to 11 – 9. The chukker ended with the home team up 12-10. Cornell repsonded to the run with one of its own, scoring three quick goals to go up by five in the fourth and cruised to the win.

Besides Constant's big scoring day, Branden Van Loon netted six goals and Connor Pardell added one.
