NORFOLK, Va. - The No. 55 Big Red men's tennis team continued its spring break trip with a dramatic 4-3 victory over Old Dominion this evening at the Folkes-Stevens Indoor Tennis Center in Norfolk, Va. With the win, Cornell improves to 17-4 on the year, while ODU falls to 15-6.
The Big Red picked up the doubles point with victories by Jeremy Feldman/Andy Gauthier and Mirza Klis/Evan McElwain at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively.
At singles, No. 2 Jonathan Jaklitsch and No. 5 Feldman earned straight-set victories, while No. 6 Zhongming Chen rebounded from a loss in the first set to take a crucial three-set victory.
Cornell wraps up its spring break trip on Sunday, March 27, as it takes on Richmond at noon.
