PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 50 Big Red men's tennis team defeated Penn, 5-2, this afternoon at the Lott Tennis Courts in Philadelphia to improve to 22-4 on the season and 5-0 in the Ivy League. The win, coupled with No. 58 Princeton's victory against Columbia, will see the last two remaining undefeated teams in the conference meeting on Sunday afternoon at the Reis Tennis Center in Ithaca to decide at least a share of the Ivy League title. The match with the Tigers is set for 1 p.m.
The Big Red stormed out to a 3-0 lead against Penn, thanks to earning the double point, as well as singles victories by No. 2
Jonathan Jaklitsch and No. 5
Evan Bernstein. The Quakers fought back to pull within 3-2 with victories at the No. 1 and No. 3 singles spots, but Cornell closed out the match with hard-fought victories by No. 6

Jeremy Feldman.
In addition to the crucial match with Princeton on Sunday, the Big Red will also face a pair of Division III opponents, taking on in-town rival Ithaca College and St. Lawrence at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
