ITHACA, N.Y. -- Not even a two-hour rain delay could keep Daniel Haber off the scoreboard. Not even a two-hour rain delay could keep Cornell from its fourth consecutive win.

On a soggy Philadelphia Friday night, the Cornell men's soccer team made the best of its environment and emerged victorious on St. Joseph's home turf 1-0.

Haber's goal -- his team-leading third of the season -- came in the 42nd minute on transition. Haber went one-on-one against a defender, beat him, and then fired low and right past St. Joseph's goalkeeper to give Cornell the lead and momentum heading into halftime.

That goal was all the Big Red needed, as it recorded its fourth consecutive shutout behind the efforts of goalkeeper Rick Pflasterer

The Big Red scored its 13th goal of the season Friday night, matching the entire total from 2010. The team has scored 10 goals in its last four games and allowed zero. The team is now on its longest win streak since the end of the 2006 and start of the 2007 season. Coach Jaro Zawisland is now one win shy of a .500 winning percentage for his career.

Cornell remains on the road for its next game, traveling to Olean for a Monday-afternoon affair against St. Bonaventure. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
