ITHACA, N.Y. -- After falling to No. 1 Virginia on the road, the Cornell men's polo team will look to get back on the winning track when it meets Kentucky on Friday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m. at Oxley Equestrian Center. The Big Red brings a 7-5 mark into the matchup.
This will be the second meeting this season between the Big Red and the Wildcats, with Cornell taking a 20-12 victory on Nov. 16 in the first round of the Bill Field Invitational. Branden Van Loon scored nine goals in the first meeting. Cornell has won three straight contests against the Wildcats spanning the last two years.
Cornell is coming off a 28-4 loss to the top-ranked Cavaliers, who jumped out to a 14-0 lead last weekend in Charlottesville, Va. to claim the 14th straight win in the series.
