ITHACA, N.Y. — Men's Tennis dropped its final non-league home match of the season on Saturday with Penn State handing the Big Red its first loss at Reis Tennis Center, 5-2.

Freshman Jason Luu won his match at No. 5 to improve his record to 7-7 on the season, and freshman Danny Riggs accounted for the Big Red's other point with a straight-set victory over Russell Bader at No. 3 in a match that featured a pair of tiebreakers. Riggs now has eight victories on the season, tied with sophomore Venkat Iyer and freshman Alex Sidney for the team lead.

The Cornell doubles team of Iyer and freshman Quoc-Daniel Nguyen won the No. 3 match, improving to a perfect 3-0 on the season, but Penn State won the other matches to secure the tilt's first point.

The Big Red, which is now 7-9 and 6-1 at home, wraps up non-league play with a trip to Virginia next weekend. Cornell visits Old Dominion on Friday, then takes on Virginia Commonwealth on Sunday before its Ivy League opener March 31 vs. Columbia.
