ITHACA, N.Y. – The men's tennis team won three singles matches Sunday against visiting Dartmouth, but lost the doubles point en route to a 4-3 defeat at Reis Tennis Center.
The 60th-ranked Big Green (15-2, 1-1 Ivy League) swept the three doubles matches, but the Big Red answered with victories in straight sets at the top two spots in singles. Sophomore
Venkat Iyer defeated Michael Laser at No. 1, 6-3, 6-1, and freshman
Sam Fleck was a 6-1, 6-1 winner over Xander Centenari at the No. 2 spot.

Quoc-Daniel Nguyen accounted for the third point for Cornell (7-14, 0-3) with a three-set victory over Brandon DeBot at the No. 6 spot, 7-6(1), 4-6, 1-0. The win was Nguyen's 10th on the season, tying him with classmate
Alex Sidney for the most on the team in singles play.
Cornell will take to the road in its next matches, playing its first away matches in the Ivy League portion of its schedule with contests on April 14 at Brown and April 15 at Yale.
