Box Score LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Big Red women's basketball team ran into a hot-handed Bucknell team this evening and fell to the Bison, 64-39, at Sojka Pavilion in Lewsiburg, Pa. Cornell will look to get back into the win column at home on Saturday, Jan. 5 when it welcomes Buffalo to Newman Arena at 1 p.m.
Allyson DiMagno finished with 14 points and
Clare Fitzpatrick inched closer to the 1,000-point plateau with 11 on the evening. Both forwards pulled down a team-high six rebounds.
Stephanie Long also chipped in seven points, while
Shelby Lyman and
Spencer Lane handed out three assists apiece.
Cornell (6-6) shot a season-low 22 percent from the floor and connected on just 27 percent from beyond the arc, but assisted on 10-of-11 baskets.
The Bison shot 46 percent overall and 54 percent from 3-point range, thanks in large part to Audrey Dotson who went 10-of-12 from the field en route to a 22-point evening. Shelby Romine and Alyssa Dunn joined her in double-digits with 13 and 11 points, respectively, while Lindsay Horbatuck added eight points and pulled down a game-high 19 rebounds.
Cornell forced the home team into 25 turnovers with 11 steals but couldn't overcome Bucknell's 52-23 advantage on the boards.
