Box Score ITHACA, N.Y. – The Big Red sprint football team struggled to find its offense on Friday night, as the team fell to 0-4 on the season with a 22-0 loss to the Army Black Knights on Schoellkopf Field. Coincidentally, Army also handed Cornell its last shutout on Oct. 28, 2005 when the Black Knights won 27-0.

With the ball on the Cornell four-yard line, quarterback
Brendan Miller threw a backward pass to Nathanson who lost his footing the a rain-slicked end zone. The teams headed into the half with Army up 2-0.
In the third quarter, Warren Kay capped an 11-play, 54-yard drive with a 25-yard field goal to put Army on top 5-0 and send the game to the fourth quarter.
The Black Knights, who had scored at least 38 points in each of the first three games this season, finally found their offensive rhythm in the final frame. Kay first added another field goal and then quarterback James Wartski connected with Tucker Van Dyke and then Joe Presti for a pair of touchdowns to put Army on top 22-0 and put the game out of reach for Cornell.
The Big Red finished with just 102 yards of total offense. Freshman Robert Pannullo, who took over under center on the final drive of the game for Cornell, led the team in rushing with 22 yards on four carries.
Cornell's next game will be it's final game on Schoellkopf Field this season, as the team will face Princeton on Friday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.
