ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell men's and women's polo teams will welcome some of the top collegiate teams in the country when they play host to the William S. Field Invitational beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Oxley Equestrian Center. The women's final will be held on Sunday at 10 a.m., while the women's championship is set for noon.

David Eldredge enters the tournament having won 399 games with the men's team and will be looking for win number 400 when the Big Red meet Kentucky on Friday at 5:15 p.m. Combined, Eldredge has 842 career coaching victories.
The women's tournament will include six teams - Cal Poly, Cornell, Kentucky, UMass, Virginia and Yale. The Big Red opens the competition on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. when it meets UMass at 12:30, with Cal Poly playing Yale at 7:45 p.m. On Thursday, Virginia meets Yale at 5:45 p.m. and the Big Red faces Kentucky at 9:45 p.m. Friday sees Virginia and Cal Poly at 9:15 p.m. and Saturday will feature Kentucky and UMass before Sunday's final.
The Cornell women have won 12 of the last 15 Northeast Regional titles and five national titles under Eldredge, who has posted a 443-123-17 record (.774) in 28 years directing the program. The Big Red has advanced to the national championship game four times in the last five years.
The men's field also features six teams - Colorado State, Cornell, Kentucky, Skidmore, Texas A&M and Virginia. The Cavaliers, the defending national champions, open the tournament against Skidmore on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. On Thursday, Colorado State and Kentucky will meet at 12:30 p.m. Friday features two games, with Cornell battling Kentucky at 5:15 p.m. and Texas A&M facing Virginia at 7:15 p.m. On Saturday, Cornell will face Colorado at 7 p.m. and Skidmore meets Texas A&M at 9 p.m. prior to Sunday's final.

Nik Feldman has a team-high 51 goals so far this season for the Big Red, including 12 in Cornell's last outing, a 26-10 triumph over Kentucky.
Ignacio Masias Uranga has started all five matches and has scored 26 goals, while
Nicholas Stieg also has 26 goals in his four matches. The Big Red men's polo team has reached the national championship game six times since 2004 under Eldredge, who has amassed an impressive 399-168-8 record (.701) in his 28 years on the sidelines with the men. Cornell has won 19 USPA Eastern Regional titles and has advanced to the national championship game 35 times with 11 national titles.
