HANOVER, N.H.— The men's tennis team dropped a tight 4-3 affair against Indiana on Friday to start play at Dartmouth's Kick Off Classic. With the loss, Cornell falls to 1-2.
Bernardo Casares Rosa won his match at No. 3 singles and teamed with
Chris Vrabel to win the No. 1 doubles match for the Big Red.
Quoc-Daniel Nguyen and
Stefan Vinti also won the No. 3 doubles match to secure the opening point for Cornell, which entered the weekend ranked 65th in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Colin Sinclair also won his match at No. 5 singles for the Big Red. It was the first match of the season for 64th-ranked Indiana.
Cornell returns to action at 7 p.m. Saturday against 66th-ranked Denver, also at the Big Green's Boss Tennis Center.
