WEST POINT, N.Y. — The women's tennis team rolled to its second victory of the season with a dominant 7-0 defeat of Army on Saturday morning at Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
Cornell (2-5), which is ranked 72nd in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, swept all six singles matches and all three doubles matches against Army (5-7). The Big Red is now 12-1 all-time against the Black Knights in the series, including victories in each of the last three seasons.

Jane Stewart clinched the match for the Big Red with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 5.
Cornell wraps up the weekend with its first-ever trip to College Park, Md. for a clash of nationally-ranked teams. Maryland is tabbed 67th by the ITA this week, sporting a 3-4 record heading into its Saturday home opener against No. 46 Harvard.
