Lindsay Toppe also marked a goal for the visitors. The tally moved the senior captain into a tie for seventh on the program's all-time list with 122 goals for her career.
Senior
Sarah Hefner, sophomores
Kristy Gilbert and
Shelby McNeilly and freshman
Taylor Reed also added goals for the Big Red. Senior

Emily Tripodi added to her team lead with two helpers.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Renee Poullott was busy in the crease against the potent Orange attack. She finished with a season-high 11 saves, settling in during the final 30 minutes after a difficult start.
The Big Red battled hard in the second half, finishing even with the Syracuse (8-2), as each team tallyied five times in the final 30 minutes. Cornell's best sequence came over the middle portion of the half.
Reed tallied a goal for the third consecutive game to stop a three-goal scoring run for the Orange to begin the half. Ellis would add back-to-back goals over a 3:51 stretch with just under 10 minutes to play. McNeilly added another with just over four minutes left to pull Cornell within four at 12-7.
The Orange would answer with two goals, before Dickson sent home Cornell's eighth tally with one second left on the game clock.
Syracuse controlled the early portion of the game, racing out to a big early lead. The Orange pumped in two goals in the game's first 41 seconds on goals from Kailah Kempney and Taylor Gait. Hefner would put home the next tally halve the deficit. The Orange's next run would widen the gap.
Syracuse would dominate possession in the middle of the half, marking seven straight goals to take control of the game. Halle Majorana would mark a hat trick during the streak, while Kayla Treanor would a pair of goals.
The Big Red would gain traction toward the end of the half, sending home two shots in quick succession to cut into the goal margin. Gilbert and Toppe both beat Orange keeper Kelsey Richardson on turning shots in the crease; both off nice feeds from Dickson. Unfortunately, the spread proved to be too wide as the Orange would be able to hold on.
