NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — Sophomore goalkeeper
Meghan Kennedy made four saves for her second career shutout in the women's soccer team's 0-0 draw on Sunday at Central Connecticut State.
Cornell (3-5-1) used 22 players in its penultimate non-league game of the season, but it couldn't produce a goal for the fifth time in its last six games. The Big Red outshot CCSU (2-8-1) in the second half, 6-1, and after neither team produced a shot in the first over, Cornell held a 4-1 advantage in shots attempted in the final 10 minutes.
The closest either team came to scoring a goal was early in the second overtime when sophomore defender
Grace Keller struck a long shot that bounced off the crossbar. It was the Big Red's first scoreless deadlock of the season after playing to a 0-0 score four times during the 2015 season.
Cornell returns to Ivy League play at 7 p.m. Friday when it hosts Penn at Berman Field.
