Polo Teams Welcome Yale To Oxley

ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell polo teams will welcome regional rival Yale to Oxley Equestrian Center this weekend to close out the fall semester. The women will welcome the Bulldogs to Ithaca on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m., while the men will meet up on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m.

The women enter the weekend sporting a six-match win streak, including wins over Skidmore and Virginia in the Bill Field Invitational two weekends ago. Since 2009, the Big Red has won the last six meetings between the teams by a cumulative score of 175-14.  As a program, The Cornell women have won 15 national titles in program history and have advanced to the national title game six of the last seven seasons with championships in 2011, 2015 and 2016. The Big Red men stand at 6-2 on the season after winning the Bill Field Invite with a 22-14 finals victory over defending national champion Roger Williams on Nov. 19. The Big Red brings a four-match win streak into the weekend and has outscored Yale 161-27 over the last six meetings between the programs. Coming off a 16-4 campaign that included a trip to the national semifinals, Cornell will be eyeing the program's 12 national title.
