The home team's run was ended when back-to-back layups from Jess Willerson opened up a 7-0 run to give the Big Red a 25-24 lead at the half.
Cornell turned those seven unanswered points into a 28-4 run that gave the visitors a 36-28 lead at the 5:56 mark of the third quarter.
