ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's and women's polo teams swept this past weekend, with the women slipping past Skidmore 17-6 on Friday and the men dropping Gardnertown Polo Club 23-12 on Saturday. The women improved to 3-2, while the men are now 4-1. Both teams have no won two straight.
The win for the women, the 37th consecutive over Skidmore dating back to 2005, pushed the team over the .500 mark for the first time this year and makes the Big Red 2-0 against regional opponents. The men, who entered the game averaging 16.5 goals per game, upped that average with its second match of the year with at least 20 goals.
The men's polo team welcomes Kentucky to Oxley on Friday, Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m. before both teams hit the road to meet Harvard in Cambridge, Mass. The men visit the Crimson on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m., while the women battle Harvard on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 1 p.m.
