Men's Swimming & Diving Drops Tri-Meet To Penn, Princeton

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell had six top-three finishes, including a win by Jameson Crandell in the 3-meter diving competition, but Princeton and Penn's superior depth led the visitors to a Saturday afternoon sweep at Teagle Pool. The Big Red slipped to 1-3 on the season after a 183-117 loss to the Quakers and a 220-80 margin to the Tigers.

Crandell's 312.35 in the 3-meter squeaked him past Penn's John-Michael Diveris (310.65) to highlight the meet.

Ryan Brown placed third in the 100 breast (56.52) and Ricardo Martinez also captured a bronze spot on the podium in the 200 back (1:52.49).

Min Zhi Chua (1:52.39) and James Huang (1:52.45) placed third and fourth in the 200 fly. Chua also was second in the 200 IM (1:52.78). Also reaching the podium was Jack Mahoney in the 50 free (20.99).

Cornell will next compete in the Ithaca Collehge Bomber Invitational beginning on Friday, Nov. 30.
