NEW YORK — The women's squash team got off to a strong start Saturday, but Virginia swept the final three matches to secure a 6-3 upset victory over the Big Red at SL Green StreetSquash.
Madison Miles won in three games at No. 3, then
Steph Tan won in four at No. 9 for Cornell (1-1) – tabbed eighth in the Dunlop College Squash Rankings to start the weekend. But 12th-ranked Virginia (5-5) rallied from a two-game deficit to win at No. 6 and escape the first rotation with a one-point deficit.
