LANCASTER, Pa. – The women's squash team wrapped up a sweep of its two matches this weekend with a 9-0 victory over Franklin & Marshall on Saturday evening at Mayser Center Squash Courts.
Cornell (3-7), which was tabbed 13th in the most recent Dunlop College Squash Rankings, cruised to three-game victories in all but one of Saturday's nine matches. Twentieth-ranked F&M (5-6) was only able to force a fourth game at the No. 4 position. Freshman
Steph Tan was the most efficient, yielding just three points in her match at No. 9, and classmate Siva Subramaniam wasn't far behind with a dominating 11-3, 11-1, 11-1 win from the top spot in just her second collegiate match. The Big Red has now won its last 14 matches against F&M.
The Big Red returns to Ivy League play for the next two weeks to close out its regular season, with three of those matches at Belkin International Squash Courts. Cornell starts the stretch by hosting Brown at noon Saturday, then it takes on Yale the following day at the same time.
