ITHACA, N.Y. - The Cornell men's and women's polo programs swept games against Yale and Harvard over the weekend, with each defeating Yale at home before besting the Crimson on the road.
With a pair of wins each, Cornell's men now own a 6-2 overall record this season, while the women improved to 6-3.
Facing the Bulldogs of Yale from the Oxley Equestrian Center on Friday, Nov. 8, the Cornell men defeated Yale by a final score of 22-9. The men wrapped up the weekend with a 20-2 romping of Harvard on the road on Saturday, Nov. 9.
Cornell's women saw equal success over the weekend, allowing teams to score just three total times over two games. Facing Yale on Saturday evening, Cornell's women got the best of Yale by a 21-2 final score. Cornell's defense continued its strong showing on Sunday, defeating Harvard by a final score of 13-1.
Coming up for Cornell are games against UConn and Roger Williams University. The men welcome UConn to Oxley for a 7:00 p.m. game on Friday, Nov. 15 before traveling to Portsmouth R.I. to face Roger Williams on Saturday, Nov. 16. Cornell's women will play UConn at 7:00 p.m. in Oxley on Saturday before traveling to Roger Williams for a game on Sunday, Nov. 17.
